Luxembourg is home to innovators who make technology a reality on a daily basis. FinTech has been at the forefront of this digital transformation trend, with many examples and success stories. Recently, we hear and read about other self-explanatory "-tech" neologisms - such as HealthTech, LegalTech, InsurTech, and RetailTech, to name a few - but less light is shed on EdTech, the sector in which the LMDDC operates. This is surprising because the use of technological resources to enhance learning and facilitate teaching is rather prevalent!

The emergence of these umbrella terms has given rise to sub-segments of economic activity and entire ecosystems with their own players (both public organisations and private companies), their own drivers and specificities such as improving efficiency, supporting transparency, and increasing customer centricity.

Still small but already hosting global players, Luxembourg's EdTech ecosystem is dynamic, cutting-edge and innovative, and deserves to be (better) known. Being at the centre of it makes the LMDDC mission both challenging and rewarding.
