Before the LMDDC became fully operational in January 2023, a preliminary study was carried out involving many stakeholders from the Luxembourgish public service and education sector. The idea was to collect their digital needs and to understand their current maturity in the digitisation of their learning processes and activities.

The conclusions of the study have been used by the LMDDC as a guide, both in our day-to-day interactions with our partners and as a more general means of developing and implementing our strategy, which will ultimately lead to the firm establishment of the LMDDC in the heterogeneous and dynamic local EdTech ecosystem.

Here is a sneak peek at the most useful ones:

1) "The LMDDC must be able to talk to everyone", be it a public administration, a school, a private company or a professional chamber, to name but a few. We are very pleased with the variety of partners and discussions about business opportunities we have had so far and, more generally, the positive reception we have received.

2) "The LMDDC should be able to support the search for innovative pedagogical content": given our expertise in digital pedagogy which will continue to expand – we are currently working on adapting modalities such as virtual and augmented reality to the needs of several interlocutors.

3) The LMDDC would benefit from having a "practical, solution-oriented attitude, rather than a purely theoretical one." As a technology enabler and accelerator, the LMDDC is already providing technology monitoring and economic intelligence in the landscape of digital learning, as well as active hands-on dissemination on Twitter (don’t forget to follow us @skilltech_LU), here on our blog, but also with the events we are organising.
