The Luxembourg Media & Digital Design Center (LMDDC), in collaboration with the Digital Learning Hub (DLH), and their trainer Björn Rohles, undertook an innovative project aimed to digitalize onsite UI/UX training sessions. Leveraging solutions such as Noley.ai and Midjourney, the team transformed parts of traditional workshops into accessible digital learning experiences.
A primary objective of this project was to explore and establish a workflow that efficiently converts in-person training materials into digital formats using AI-driven tools. Video recordings of trainer Björn Rohles's interactive sessions served as the foundation. Through Noley.ai, the recordings were analysed, transcribed, and segmented, while Midjourney supported the creation of visual assets to enrich the digital content. The integration of these technologies demonstrated the immense potential of AI in streamlining the digitalization process.
Content developed through this innovative workflow was then integrated into the DLH's Moodle Learning Management System using H5P interactive elements. H5P's capabilities allowed the digital training to include quizzes, interactive scenarios, and multimedia enhancements, significantly enriching the learner's experience. This integration provided learners with the flexibility to access and engage with training content remotely, at their own pace, complementing the face-to-face sessions.
Throughout the process, the importance of maintaining the 'human touch' in training was apparent. Despite AI tools offering substantial benefits in terms of efficiency and scalability, the interactive and engaging qualities of onsite training remain crucial. The project's promising outcomes indicate that blending AI-powered digital content with traditional training methods creates a balanced approach, enhancing both the reach and effectiveness of educational experiences offered by LMDDC and DLH.
